Why we need you

Member of staff smiling with a patient in a wheelchairEvery year we’re able to make a difference to thousands of people’s lives across our hospitals and community services in Bury, Oldham, Rochdale and Salford.

But we couldn’t do it without you.

Your donations and support allows us to go beyond the scope of the NHS and continue our long history of pioneering health care that is helping us become one of the most innovative environments in the UK.

Behind every piece of state-of-the-art equipment we buy or staff wellbeing room we refurbish, there are people who have their lives changed for the better. From patients who receive cutting-edge surgery so they can be reunited with family, to hardworking NHS staff who have a more welcoming department to work in.

Although we’ve been overwhelmed by your support during the coronavirus pandemic, our fundraising needs never stop, and we need your help as much now as ever before.

Thank you for joining us in supporting your NHS.

Wellbeing support

CCU staff at Salford Royal holding 'thank you' messages as they stand under the new ceiling tilesThanks to your support, and funding from NHS Charities Together, we’re making lots of improvements across all our sites to benefit the wellbeing of staff, patients and visitors.

At Salford Royal, new illuminating ceiling tiles have been installed on the Critical Care Unit (CCU), which allows stunning visuals, such as blue skies and trees, to be shown – giving the impression of looking through a window.

We’ve also created a new sensory room and family quiet area and upgraded frontline staff wellbeing areas and staff rooms.

Thank you!
